Nagpur's farness from the sea is responsible for its dry and mildly humid climatic conditions that remains for most part of the year. It experiences primarily three main seasons-summers, winters and monsoon with fluctuations in temperature.
Summers arrive usually during March and lasts till June characterized by dryness and high temperature shooting up to 40 degree C.
The South-westerly monsoons sets in June and the city gets heavy rainfall till September.
Winter arrives in November and lasts through January with the temperature dipping to 10 degC. This is the most pleasant time to visit the city.
